HANCOCK PARK CLASSIC

Our very sweet clients came to us looking to spruce up their newly purchased Paul Williams 1925 traditional home situated on a perfect street in Hancock Park. The bones and details of this house are stunnnning - from the millwork to the scale to the layout, it's one of those grand but not too grand homes that just feels fantastic no matter which room you're in.

Our clients are a family of four who moved from one fabulous beach town - Miami - to another - Venice.  They are art and music enthusiasts, with a fun art collection and plenty of music related stories to boot (he works in the industry).  They wanted the house to feel farmhouse with a dash of Punk rock; our clients direction to us was to create a home that is the "intersection of 'cheeky and  irreverent' but also refined and cool."

We are obsessed with Drikolor paints at 22 Interiors.  Hand made in Australia using no more than eight minerals for each shade, they are the most incredible colors with the deepest tones you've ever seen.  Their ultramarine blue - TRUE BLUE - is to die for. Our fabulous Park Avenue client agreed, so we went bold in the extra long galley entry of her home.
