to Chic

Our clients had lived in this modern Mediterranean in Studio City for a few years with their young children when we were hired.  We transformed many of the rooms into spaces they actually wanted to be in.  We used their extensive and colorful art collection as inspiration for many of the color selections. They like to entertain and have large dinner parties, so we made their dining and formal living more inviting - adding fabulous lighting, wallpaper, a built-in library, and fun fabrics.  Their den located next to the breakfast room and across from the kitchen was made as comfortable as possible as a refuge for the family.  Upstairs we took an open space that served as a kids' storage area and turned it into a home office.  We clad it in a veneer graphic patterned wallpaper, added a built in desk, and steel glass windows and door.

In the primary bedroom, we demo'ed the massive stone fireplace that was existing and too heavy visually and added a mantle more in tune with a relaxing bedroom vibe.  We had so much fun that we are now working on their backyard design which is almost complete.
